On Monday, we offered Benji his first real food: pureed carrots. I had picked up a bunch for $2.50 at the Farmer’s Market and prepared them the same day.
Then Monday evening, we offered them to him straight-up with no rice cereal or milk to tone it down. He seemed surprised and interested for the first several bites. Then (right after we stopped filming) he kind of made a disgusted gagging noise. So then I blended it with rice cereal and milk and he decided to eat that. Now he eats the two blended together as if it’s just plain ol’ rice cereal.
This weekend, I’m going to introduce green beans since that’s probably what I’ll feed him when we’re in Texas next week.
